(like homeless with 3 children) and someone gave you each:

- a shelter (hotel for as few months until they get on their feet)

- school/work/play clothes

- haircuts

- food

- 1 year bus membership

- kids: daycare or signed up for school

- mom: good paying job

What would you do?

  1. Thank God for all the blessings.   work at the job.  open a savings account and save 50% of pay bec average rent takes at least 30% of pay and there are always emergencies.   Try for a class on line that would give me more skills so I could earn more.   Help my kids with homework and talk to school to see what needs they may have to do well.

I work with homeless families and wish each one could have such help.  You have hit a lot of the essential basics like the fact that a steady job and transportation and assured day care are vital to getting a fresh start.  There are other factors too that may be underlying the causes of homelessness.  Medical problems, abuse, patterns of domestic violence, substance, lack of self esteem and respect, poor budgeting skills, lack of work skills and habits.   You might like to check out homes for the homeless which does provide much of this and help with underlying problems to help homeless families. www.homesforthehomeless.com

  2. I would use it to my advantage , but not take it FOR advantage . With the few months you get, i would try and get back up on my feet, and find common ground that everyone would be happy living for the rest of their lives , thats not too much to ask for. Then your set . and you'll soon find yuorsefl supporting everything by yourself .

  3. feel blessed?!

  4. Thank God, then bust my butt to make sure that their kindness didn't go to waste, then I'd do anything I could to help them out in return anything besides s*x that is.

  5. Thank them. and show your appreciation by working hard and proving to them that you do deserve this so they don't regret helping you out.

  6. First I would thank god for everything I have been given then I would then help someone like me the same way I was helped.

  7. do my best to make use of those items and try to get out of my situation and into a more permanent one.

  8. Take it.  Make good on it. Pay him back.

  9. There has got to be a catch somewhere. Sounds too good to be true. And you know what they say, it probably is!!!

  10. First off, this isn't too good to be true, people really DO do this, and there are people who are very grateful to receive help like this. My husband and myself are taking in a single mom of four kids from another state. She will be provided with everything she and her kids need, as well as free daycare while she goes to school/gets a job.

I would hope that she will pay this forward, and when she sees someone who's down, she'll help them out as much as she can!

  11. I would take it ,be very thankful and when I wasback on my feet......I would pass it on to someone else in need !

  12. cry ...and promise to repay!

  13. cry tears of appreciation, then return the favor/"pay it forward" asap
