  1. If you keep at it, then you will see a change in fitness quite soon. If you keep at it, and gradually increase your speed, then your fitness will improve a lot and you will begin to notice a strong difference in just about 2 weeks, if not less. However, if your aiming to speed up this process even more, what you need to do is to start seriously thinking about your diet. Make sure you have enough carbs for energy and avoid eating too many fats. Carbs are what long distance athletes and runners need to keep going, but since you don't want to gain weight, you should eat your carbs within moderation. However, make sure they are there, along with plenty of water! With a healthy runner's diet and with consistent running, you will easily begin to see very noticeable results.

***What Gary said about running 5km under 15 minutes is wrong. If you could do that, you would be running at a world class time for the men's 5km world record is just over 12 minutes set by Bekele. You should set yourself a realistic time. Begin with under 30 minutes if you've never run before, and gradually get it to 25 minutes. Aim to be running atleast 25 minutes, and work your way up to the early 20's.

  2. yup sooner or later

  3. Yes you will see a difference, keep it up!!

  4. in about half a year but you ust be patient. Because oyu're only doing 2-5 kms and not like 20 the process will be slow

  5. It all depends on how fast and how much incline you have on the machine. you should be aiming for sub 15 min times for 5k for a good cardiovascular workout.

  6. I presume that you mean how long after will you start to notice yourself getting fitter and loosing weight.

It purely depends on the person but a minimum of 3 weeks.

Good luck and don't work out too much.
