  1. Yes you do.

An each-way yankee consists of 22 bets so if say, your stake is £1 it will cost you £22

    The bet consists of:

    6 x win doubles

    4 x win trebles

    1 x win fourfold

    6 x place doubles

    4 x place trebles

    1 x place fourfold

In this case you have one winner and one placed horse. The bookies will pay you for a place double. They cant pay you a win double as only one has won.

Lets say your winner was 12/1 and your place was 4/1 and assume that both races paid 1/4odds

    This would payout..

    (12/4 + 1) x (4/4 + 1) x stake

    =4 x 2 x £1

    =£8

    Hope this helps
