  1. When are people going to figure out that voting for the lesser of evils means that you are still voting for evil?  I'll bet these are the same people who wonder why nothing ever changes.

If you can't vote FOR somebody, why bother voting at all?  All you do is prop up our entrenched two-party system.

I do not intend to vote for any of the top candidates at this time...they are all just different flavors of the status quo.  Right now I like the Libertarian candidate, Wayne Root.  He's a lot like Ron Paul but has a much more pragmatic view of the world and why we must fight terrorism, and fight it hard (though not in Iraq).

  2. I don't think people that are not going to vote are going to be checking out the political questions on here.  Most people I know that are thinking about not voting are fed up with the process and the people running.  My beef with that is, usually they start calling and complaining about the ones voted into office shortly after all is said and done.

Everyone needs to make their voices heard.  They may not get the candidate they voted for but, at least they can claim they attempted to do something about it.  If you think they're all evil (the candidates)- pick the lesser evil for your conscience to handle and have a say in the democratic process.  This election is important, we have no excuse not to vote.

  3. iF YOU DON'T INTENT TO VOTE, WHY ASK THIS QUESTION [sorry for the shouting].  As to the second part, if you really are somewhat interested, try this:  first, be patient.  There's a lot that will happen and be said about what happens between now and the first Tuesday in No.  Second, one of the things that bring American citizens together is participating in our government by voting.  If you bow out of that, you are missing a part of what being a citizen means.
