Question:

If you don't live in your own head, then where...?

Where would you live then -- OUT of your head?? Hardly seems like a good option...

The reason I ask this is because of a question I recently saw, where someone thought he/she lived too much in their own head. So I have to ask: where else do you think you SHOULD live???

*note: (I seem to have put this in the wrong category, therefore I am trying it here)

  1. ...in my stomach...communicates to me when, where, and what to eat...

...anything not usable is given to its partner the waster disposal unit...

  2. There are those that think you should live in your heart, but to those I say, "You are out of your mind!"

  3. in a heads of others.while others live in yours.in a head of another while another live in yours...That creates a drama you called human life...According to ancient wisdom and newly discovered psychology the head is not a dwelling place at all...Intellect is only a tool with which consciousness  creates but restless human invested whole his belonging and entire himself into being an intellect itself...and now identifying himself with  that faculty. Once it is done it takes quite time to dismiss that created forms of belief ..but for now other opportunities and possibilities will be denied in general while people with another beliefs which offer different possibilities will be alienated at best....Or as it happens in US would be accepted , for this attraction suggesting another way to make money for both parties...So, beauty of living by heart is cunningly diminished, sending us back to the heads to calculate and experience profits and loses....

  4. Well, you could live in the moment, instead.

Living in your own head means you spend too much time considering, reconsidering, analyzing and reanyzlying things you do or might do.

People who do this worry too much about consequences ... or how the consequences could have played out differently. They often keep their own counsel, don't engage in coversation or activity as much as others and can suffer from paralysis from analysis.

Living in the moment — "if it feels good, do it" — could be considered the opposite.
