Question:

If you don't make sense to someone is it their fault, or yours?

I find that a lot of people become baffled at my questions, and I know they really do understand them! They're just either offended or threatened by them and all of a sudden they claim I don't make sense. What gives?

  1. Most of the time, it's the other person's fault. People tell me ALL the time that I'm crazy & don't make sense. They don't mean that they want me to clarify what I say, either. They want me to STFU.

  2. both?  :)  differant people have differant ways of thinking and talking. You'll just have to re-state your question or concern in a new way, like example, ...one time i actually drew my boyfriend a picture..haha

  3. aim to understand not to be understood!  it is the person who don 't understand job to ask for clairity!  otherwise how would the other person even know what they don't understand!

as for questions on here most are too broad and needs more details

someone posted a question who is better someone who thinks slow or someone who thinks fast...

better at what? see i learned something because i asked a question to follow up with it!  over all no one is better then anyone but with the details it helps to answer the question!

hope you get my point!  if not then ask for more clairfication!

  4. Well, that depends. For this particular question - you are at fault. There is not enough information to answer this any more thoroughly.

(Edit: I just realized my answer may sound a tad rude - I was just trying to illustrate that if there is not enough info., or unclear info., given, than the listener is not at fault. However, if the listener/reader is simply not paying attention, or chooses to ignore part of what the speaker/writer is saying, than they are at fault.)

  5. State what ever as best you know how then wait for their responce. If they get ignorant just smile and walk away, it'll drive them crazy. They will think they did something wrong.

  6. It depends on how you have expressed yourself as opposed to their level of understanding.  Without a specific example, I can't really be any clearer.

  7. In most cases it really is no one's fault.  It is just a problem in communication.   We all have slightly different perceptions about the world and a slightly different understanding about things.  If one person's perception doesn't quite line up with another person's perception, so the other person sees the first person as not making sense.

Of course, I'm not exactly touching issues such as the psychologically unstable person who thinks bugs are crawling on their walls or it is OK to rape and murder children.  In their mind, it makes sense.  We understand in their mind it makes sense.  It doesn't make sense to us through, and it really shouldn't, because clearly they have abnormal psychological issues that not only affects how they interact with society but also affects how they are as a human being.  To put it bluntly, it's not "normal."

  8. Well someone is playing headgames with someone then...is it you...or is it them?

Frankly if you give it a good efforts it becomes apparent.

Some people have selective vision and thinking and hearing too...so don't be surprised to see them pull a "schizo" on you and warp into a world where they think you're an alien or something.
