  1. i dont think you should, i mean.

just try and get on the usa one

if you came over to england , and i dont know,

you got the place on GB's team that would've been mine had you not come,

    i'd be pretty pissed off

like, your taking chances away from people who actually live in that country

so you wouldnt be representing your actual country

    you know ?

not being mean just saying, try your best for the usa team :) if you dont make it wait 4 years, there's a 33 yr old gymnast in beijing atm.

  2. Yes if you have a great grandparent from that country and/or you have been granted citizenship to that country.

  3. the IOC has requirements to represent another country. Usually it involves having dual citizenship.  (Parent are from different countries).

  4. If you became a citizen in that country or married someone in that country you could.

  5. If you met that nation and the IOC's standards for citizenship of that other country, yes.

  6. I'm not entirely sure... If you are a dual U.S. citizen then definitely you can (ex. my friend's parents are from Britain so he has citizenship in the U.S. and in Britain). Also, if you are of that country's descent in one or both of your parents (from, say, your mom's parents emmigrated from Germany or something, you may be able to.
