Question:

If you don't take mail out of your mailbox does the post office stop sending mail to you?

So I left my mail in my mailbox for a while. One day I went to the mailbox and all my mail was gone and I haven't received any mail since. Anyone know what happened?

I should note I usually receive mail at another address but sometimes I have stuff sent to this mailbox.

  1. call the post office and tell them the situation.

  2. It's at the post office. When you show up, they'll grill you about where you've been, why you didn't get your mail, etc.

They'll be in a huff, stack your mail and ask if you've moved, or travel.

I make sure I get all my mail out of my box, every 3 weeks, before the mailman gets upset. All my bills are paid on-line, so it's mostly junk. No space makes the mailman unhappy!

Just empty your box, before they start stashing at the post office.

  3. ~~If your box is too full to add more mail they will hold it and you will have to go to your local post offece to pick it up.~~
