How do you stay disciplined?

if you're not actively obsessed with chasing something?

For example, someone very vain would have no problems running ridiculous miles each week to stay slim, etc..

  1. I suppose you're talking about weight loss...some people are fine with their weight, and even proud of their obesity. But I don't think vain people are skinny, nor are skinny people necessarily vain. They could just care about their health. By a "ridiculous amount of miles" do you mean 50 or 15? Everyone would perceive a "ridiculous" amount differently. To most people, running 5 miles a day is crazy, but I have a friend who goes nuts if he doesn't get in at least 7.

But if you're talking about wanting things in general, and you're not getting them because you're not disciplined...? Discipline is all in the head (unless you have someone following you around telling you what to do) so it's really more of a tendency to live for the present as opposed to planning for the future.

  2. amplify the sound in your head that desires the thing that you want. But it's really all in your heart,if you don't want something,or there're something better that your heart wants,no matter how HARD you push yourself, you will just end up in the first place.Know what you REALLY want, then move from there.
