Now, do YOU know how small the entire ANWR area is compared to the huge North Slope region which is filled with thousands of oil wells?

Are Americans in favor of drilling in Anwar...probably not. That's the problem with this Palin token as VP.  She comes from a zilch state where everyone is a Republican with their hand out. Alaska pays its citizens money every year. They are like what Republicans accuse Democrats as being.

  3. Yeah sure, the oil companies have iraq, give them alaska, give them everything- 48 billion a quarter in profits isn't enough, of course they want more.more.more.more. give it to them. they'll control the world finally and everyone will be dirt poor, not just nigeria.

    4. Yes, but it's federal land so Congress controls it.

Actually I'm not opposed to drilling there, if it make sense to.  I don't think it will do much damage. Alaska is huge.

  6. How about not drilling and getting the big three to support new technologies?  Have you ever seen this car? It gets 300mpg and the big three, (GM, Ford, Chrysler) dismissed their technology. WTF is going on here?  We DONT need to drill...we need to adapt!

  7. If oil companies want to drill, they have plenty of leased lands to drill on that don't include ANWR.  Why drill there BEFORE drilling else where?

  8. First you answer this question:

Why would US oil companies produce a single drop more of domestic oil when they are making record profits right now?

We don't have a supply problem.

We have a lying, stealing, greedy, cheating, price fixing b******s problem.

  9. The drilling area may be small (depending on how you define it) but it will have a huge disruption on the ecosystem with the potential for more Exxon Valdez incidents. And the vast majority of Alaskans are living on pork and handouts paid with my tax dollars so they will always vote to keep the gravy train rolling.

  10. Who is Sara ,Palin She was elected Alaska 's governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience.1

  14. I am not too sure it would make a huge difference in price though, a small one for a few years maybe, because prices have more to do with the size of known reserves, the loss of value of the dollar, the rate at which we consume and how much we think consumption will increase, and the willingness of people to pay, to name a few. If it changes the psychology of people it would work though.

  15. None of those matter one bit. I'm sick of people who want to sell our protected areas to oil profiteers. The vast majority of Alaskans are all in favor of ruining and exploiting the environment they should be the stewards of, one of the few pristine areas left in existence. Alaska should still be a territory.
