Depends on where I'm riding - I've been riding for 15 years now, and I've found if I'm riding around town/short distances, I do not wear a helmet.  Main reason is in town, with so many cross streets, helmets can restrict some side vision.  I've caught a few cars going through red lights, which I may not have seen if I had a helmet on.  Cars just don't pay attention to motorcycles.  When I go out on major roads, or on the highways, I always have a helmet on.

Wear the helmet for your own safty & not for the traffic police to avoid challan.

I always wear mine, but I could see the advantages of not doing so, to me they just don't outweigh the consequences, but it would be more enjoyable without it.

i agree with nightshadow, i might forego the helmet if i don't cross the 40 mph barrier, my reasoning is that i can pedal 40 on a bicycle, and i never wear a helmet on a bicycle...

other than that, my helmet is on...

these reasons are beyond my comprehension!! safety on the road is getting worse and worse these days and it's super important to wear a helmet! no worries, once they smash their head on the pavement and die or have permanent brain damage, maybe then they'll learn their lessons...

I wear a half helmet in the summer, full face in the winter. Sometimes when I go for a ride on the back roads around where I live I won't wear one and man does it feel good. The wind blowing through what hair I have left is awesome.

I don't make a habit of that though. 99% of the time I have a helmet on.

I don't wear one because I'm not required to, they're too confining, too hot and I feel more comfortable and alert without one.

I don't like them and I don't have to wear one in my state. If I plan a trip, the states with helmet laws don't get visited very often.

people who dont wear helmets are too LAZY AND CHEAP to spend money on one

one day they will probaly get hit by a car and get SEVERILY INJURED

"Because if my head itches, I can itch it."?  Seriously?  It's SCRATCH it!  Must have bumped your head without a helmet already.  Hope the next time isn't worse.  On the up side, without a helmet, you could put those itches to rest.......  Permanently.  Please rethink the logic behind that answer.
