  1. for a 4 you have a 1/13 chance. For a club a 1/4 chance. for both you have a 17/52 chance, or about a 33% chance

  2. The probability for the four would be 1 in 13 , and the club would be 13 in 52

  3. Depends...is it just one trial?

    If so...then it'd be 4/52 for the 4.

    13/52 for the club.

so if you're trying to figure out the probability for a stats class, because it sounds l ike you're trying to...

    the formula for that is

    P(A) + P(B) - P(A x B)

  4. 16 out of 52.

or 4 out of 13 if you want to simplify.

there are 4 fours in a deck and 13 clubs but one of the clubs is a four thus it's 12 + 4 which is 16 =D.

    Any more statistics questions?

  5. 4 out of 13

    or

    a little yes than 33%

  6. and of course the 4 of clubs is 1/52

  7. The probability of drawing an A's would be 4 to 52. Because through out the whole deck theres only 4 of every kind, with this said, the chance of drawing an A's would be at least 8% only.

  8. a 4 is......... 13 to 1

    a club is.......4 to 1

  9. i'm getting about a 1.9231% chance

    ...i think

  10. Why

  11. There is a 1:13 chance of drawing a 4

There is a 1:4 chance of drawing a club

There is a 1:52 chance of drawing the 4 of clubs

  12. P(A U B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A intersection B)

    following this identity,

there are four 4s in a pack of 52,  13 clubs in a pack and one 4 which is also a club.

    P(4 U Club) = P(4) + P(Club) - P(4 which is also a club)

                         = 4/52 + 13/52 - 1/52

                         = 4/13

  13. The probability that you will draw a four is one in thirteen, because there are four fours in the deck; 52 divided by 4 equals 13.  The chances of drawing a club are one in four, because there are four suits.  The probability of drawing the four of clubs is 1 out of 52, because there is only one of them in the whole deck.
