If you dream something your life will it fail?

alot of people always want a certain career but it never works out i am 14 and i play guitar and i have a good singing voice (not to brag hehe) but i had a choice next year to take french with other classes but i didnt and took all music classes but to get into college you need a 2nd language so if i dont ever make it as a musician or anything i dont know what to do?

  1. How good are u?  Maybe u could try to get into Julliard in NY.

    Otherwise, try to perform in public as much as possible. You are probably too young for "open mic" nights in bars, but maybe u could try to join a band.

    Don't give up on ur dreams. I'm getting old now and I'm finally doing what I dreamed of - but I still have a long way to go. Starting as young as you are is the way to go.

For one thing, not all universities require a second language.  Secondly, a solid background in music is a big plus for some schools.  I know people who got their foot in the door to really good schools on a music scholarship, or at least to major in music and then some changed major.  Either way, universities care more about you following up on the things you're interested in, like your major, or your passions than something specific like a 2nd language.

    And yeah, most people go to college and get a degree to do something specific and then they don't find a job and end up doing something they never set out to.  It's mostly a sham - education is a trillion $ business. [not that I"m saying don't go to college!]
