  1. Just dont drink two gallons or you could die

  2. If you don't pee it out that is.

  3. The water is good for you, though it's not necessary...

The bottles, however, are BAD for our environment!!  Don't fill up the landfills with them!!

Buy a good quality hiking bottle with a wide mouth and fill it up with ice and water...and give it a good wash with a little (1/4 t) bleach once a week or so...and rinse really good!

By adding the ice to your water, you will find you don't consume so much to quench your thirst!

  4. water can never be bad for you...it is a necessatiy to live... it will help flush out your system and keep u hydrated

  5. as long as you pee a lot and have a sufficient amount of food each day, it shouldnt be a problem. but that is sort of a lot. make sure you dont have too much because you can drown your organs inside your body and die.

  6. it's very healthy but you'll have to pee lots

  7. not unless you are on a limited intake.

  8. Not at all.   It is very hard to over do it on the water.  Just make sure you get enough electrolytes because too much water dilutes them.

  9. Not bad, not great though either.  drink when you're thirsty and you'll be fine.

  10. water can NEVER be bad for you, unless it's unsanitary or something....

but you must be super dooper healthy! ahaha

    :)

  11. If you exercise regularly, it's recommended to drink a gallon (128 ounces) a day by many exercise fanatics; so 5-7 bottles would be great.  It's not about how much you drink, but how fast you drink it.  There is a condition called water intoxication, which results from drinking water too quickly when dehydrated (drink a sports drink with electrolytes when dehydrated).  Just drink water regularly and you'll be fine.

  12. WARNING ! !           .......Plastic bottles of water ?

That could be a problem, as you might know plastic bottles leach a  few bad chems  ( Bisphenal-A and dioxins )  know to cause Cancer into the water, that's not at all good for you.

(Bisphenal-A is a toxic compound found in polycarbonate (#7 plastic), the translucent, hard plastic used in Nalgene water bottles and many baby bottles. It is a hormone disruptor that mimics estrogen and is linked to early-onset puberty, declining sperm counts, obesity, and breast and prostate cancer.)

Another consideration is what kind of water it is, such as  distilled, spring water, RO, etc.. on what effect that will have on you.

Has it been treated with chlorine (another carcinogen)

    ref. below

Does it have this known carcinogen fluoride in it ? Fluoride was found to be an equivocal carcinogen by the National Cancer Institute Toxicological Program...

As to the amount of water we should drink per day,  the most common formula is:

"1/2 ounce water per pound of body weight."

example: a 200 lb person should drink about 100 oz per day

    To Sum It Up.....

PURE water is of course good for you and depending how big you are, that much water (100-140 oz) a day could be OK, but  it might not be that good for you without proper precautions.

  13. no, it's very good. Congrats and keep it up

  14. water is good cause you pee after word, but do not over due it

  15. its bad because when you drink more water it fills up our bodys your only supposed to drink 3 and just to let you know our bodys are filled up with water so when you put more water in your not doing any better

  16. Well it depends, if you're working out or keeping your body in motion, whether in the heat or at work.

But that's actually a lot of water and you have to be careful about sodium loss in your body which can have long term effects on you.

I work out about 4-5 times a week, running and lifting. My water intake is about 64-90 ounces of water a day especially with this 100 degree weather we've been having. When I don't work out, it's about 20 ounces a day or less. Even when I was in the Army doing them ruck marches for 20k in under 3 hours, I still don't consume more than 50 ounces. That's just a maximum number.

  17. that's way too much. You're supposed to be getting 64 oz at least, but 100 is just too much.

  18. .55oz of water of body weight per day is what your body needs. If you drink alcohol or consume a lot of sodium add .25 oz. per pound!

    Happy Hydrating

  19. you dont need that much water. You only need about a pint a day the rest would come from food. its not doing you any harm though.

  20. nope its good because water cleanses your system make sure your eating to though

  21. yes -you are drinking too much water.  add juice, Gatorade, tea, milk.  drinking fluids is great, but remember moderation.  you can dilute the salt from your body with too much water.

  22. Nope good for you, water is good

  23. Ultimately, yes.

Drinking too much water can result in water intoxication, and that can lead to hyponatremia, which is when the water dillutes the sodium in your body and your sodium level drops too low.

Your body needs about 80 ounces of actual water a day (not including water asorbed from foods), and you are having almost twice that amount.

Water intoxication is actually rare, even if you do 140 ounces of water a day. You need to factor in how much you are consuming over a period of time. It is much safer to do the 140 oz. over the amount of time you are awake. If you don't do too much too fast, you will probally be fine.

If you are a healthy adult, your kidneys can handle about 500 ounces a day (note that 1 day is 24 hours, not the amount of time you are awake). Just take it easy and don't consume too much water too fast.

  24. the more water, the healthier it is. but you pee a lot. though
