  1. While 7 drinks throughout the week is hardly noticeable to your body, 7 shots in a relatively short time period puts more strain on your liver and brain (binge drinking kills brain cells much faster).  On its own, it may not make much of a difference, but coupled with other lifestyle factors, it can put you in greater risk of developing long term problems, especially if those seven drinks get you wasted.

As a disclaimer, I regularly consume more than 7 drinks and am sure that I've shaved a few years off the back end of my life, but I'm enjoying these years too much to care.

  2. It is better for you body to have one or two alcoholic drinks a day than it is for you to have seven in one night.

But overall... no. Seven serving of alcohol in one week is not excessive enough to cause long term health issues. Hopefully, those shots are whiskey  and not vodka... though vodka may have the same cardiovascular benefits... whiskey gains many other favorable benefits from the oak aging process.

    Recommended servings for health benefits:

2 drinks per day for men

1 drink per day for women

  3. Um yes, you could suffer from sever liver damage in the future.

    Or even now.

  4. Ha! I drink *nightly* and manage to survive.

  5. Well, I have to agree that 7 shots would effect you in some way, I mean, it could make you every guys play toy for the night or just feel like c**p the next day. Honestly, I drink only beer about two or three times a week and what I drink is not as mind destroying as 7 shots in one night. You either are trying to impress somebody, or let everybody take you as they wish, or an alcoholic that is asking for help, or has been challenged for money. Either way you need a true close friend to ask to be there for you and completely open up and let know why now! I'm sorry, but you may need help and just want somebody to tell you that. If you don't need help, then you haven't drank before; So you need help right? email me at Jellfire35@yahoo.com and talk as open as you wish. You need to trust somebody sometime and I am here letting you know that you can say any d**n thing you want. h**l, I don't care if you cuss your a** off at me or whatever, but give this a thought. E-me anytime

  6. That is called binge drinking and yes it probably will effect you negetively in the long run.

  7. Well, it will be worse for you than NOT drinking once a week.

  8. haha, 7 shots a week will not give you SEVERE liver damage, it wont even give you liver damage, 7 shots a week is not even close to making your liver work in full gear.

however, im guessing youre probably high school age, and if so, once you get to college your drinking will probably go up. i blacked out about twice a week my first year (i would routinely go through a handle a week). my liver was f***ed by the college years but i still drink and i think im fine... although i guarantee you i have permanent damage.

edit: i also see that some misnomered "top contributor" said 7 shots could make you (and i quote) "keel over from alcohol poisoning". PLEASE! how could someone so mistaken become a top contributor? do they give that title out like candy? jesus. if 7 shots could give you alcohol poisoning, id be dead a thousand times by now. I did 17 shots in 30 minutes once and ****, sure i blacked out, but i didnt get alcohol poisoning. and that wasnt the end of my drinking that night either.

  9. It's possible that it could have negative effects on your health, but for the most part you should be fine.  You're more likely to damage your reputation by doing something silly if you have frequent 'drunk-fests.'  7 shots isn't a terribly large amount, but it might be enough also to make you gain weight if you really do drink that consistently.

  10. I was going to say no, until I saw that it was SEVEN shots! ....  That much alcohol at one time could affect you negatively in the SHORT run!  You could keel over from alcohol poisoning! ......Just as a side thought:  How do you get home from the bar?   I hope you don't drive, or your short-run life expectancy gets even shorter

  11. no....... dink clear its better 4 u... dark will stick to ur organs

  12. That depends on the amount you consume that 'once a week'! If you consume a glass or two red wine, you heart will be thankful for that. Careful, if you suffer from high blood pressure.  I am not a doctor, but I read a lot.

  13. health wise yes

  14. Uh, yeah. Stop that ****.

  15. One would imagine so? Just the idea of doing that damage to your body every week is sure to lay a toll on you. now and in the future. after all they do call it "hard alcohol" for a reason. I'd take it easy. maybe try like one shot a night.
