Sure can. I came dam close when I was 17. To this day, I can no longer even stand the smell of Absolut Vodka as this was the poison that did it for me.

Poisoning, drowning (on own vomit), inhaling own vomit.

Yup.  Usually your body will start to reject it and make you throw up, but if you've been doing other drugs (which suppress the retching instinct) or you continue to drink after vomiting, the alcohol will continue to poison your blood.  You may not pass out soon enough to keep yourself from dying.
