  1. Would a gallon kill you?  No.

But it IS possible to drink too much water and die.  It's called water intoxication.  When you drink too much water, it disrupts the balance of electrolytes in your body and causes your cells to actually swell up and cease function.  It's pretty rare, but it has happened.  A radio station was sued a few years ago for holding a water drinking contest in which a woman died of water intoxication.

  2. no u wnt

  3. Yes you can. But it would be several gallons of water.

Here's an interesting story about that:

  4. Yes it will.

    It's called water intoxification.

    You basically drown.

  5. Would it be possible to? I would have thought you would naturally urinate more so you don't carry it within your body. Too much water in the cells of the body and they will burst and that will kill you so theoretically it's possible I guess.

  6. yes but it has to be enough that your stomach starts to get bigger.

adventually you drown your blood stream out you die.

  7. It depends on the time frame.  If you tried to drink a gallon of water in an hour you could have some problems but I doubt it would kill you.

  8. Yes, you do have to be drinking alot of water. Basically water intoxication is when the water in you starts to posion you (too much of a good thing). There have also been reports of people drowning by trying to consume to much water at once. Finally, during a hazing ritual in Alabama, a student died of hypothermia   when his frat brothers forced him to drink a water cooler jug in his underwear.

  9. Water intoxication (also known as hyperhydration or water poisoning) is a potentially fatal disturbance in brain functions that results when the normal balance of electrolytes in the body is pushed outside of safe limits by over-consumption of water. Normal, healthy individuals have little to worry about accidentally consuming too much water. Nearly all deaths related to water intoxication in normal individuals have resulted either from water drinking contests, in which individuals attempt to consume more than 3 gallons  of water over the course of just a few minutes, or long bouts of intensive exercise during which electrolytes are not properly replenished, yet massive amounts of fluid are still consumed.

  10. Yes. Lots and lots and lots of water - not a gallon.

  11. if you drink too much water it will eventually flood your blood stream and your brain , then you will die

  12. You can drown drinking too much water.
