  1. I don't know if you'd die or not, set up a video camera on the dash and try it, have someone post the video on U tube.

Let us know how long your hospital recovery is if you don't die.

    GOOD LUCK....

  2. A telephone pole size tree will cut the car in half.

I saw this happen on TV (rally car).

    Good Luck...

  3. It is possible. If you where wearing your seat belt, had airbags etc then yes, you probably would survive though it's  not certain. If you didn't have those things then your basically screwed because you'd get flung into the windscreen and if you survived that without out serious injury then your lungs might get ripped off your ribs and there's no way to survive that.

  4. ya u would die

  5. The odds aren't good.  A Blazer doesn't exactly have the best safety rateing.  My wife hit a car head on going 60 km and had internal bleeding for weeks and the dash nearly crushed her legs.  That was in a SUBARU.

  6. With poles there is less surface area to spread out the damage, so the pole could act like a knife and slice deep into the vehicle... and at 120km/h any kind of collision is going to be bad.

On the other hand... lets say you impacted that pole on the passenger side, where no one was sitting. The pole would dig deep into the car, increasing the distance it took to stop (its not how fast you are going, its how fast you stop). The momentum of a heavier vehicle like the blazer would again increase the stopping distance. You sitting safely on the driver's side, assuming some good luck when the car is getting crushed, would probably survive.

  7. people have survived some unbelievable impacts, one you would expect an average person to die from, while others die in those same accidents... not sure if its luck or just an individual, or both, who knows.

  8. No my friend was going 120mph and hit the bridge and he walked away with no serious injuries, the passenger had a few scratches.
