  1. The short answer is YES, PROBABLY... BUT:

    Lots of factors here.

    How heavy is your car?

How well built is the wall?  (just 1 brick thick or more)

Are you wearing a seat belt?

Does the car have air bags?

Are you saying a prayer at time of impact?

Do you hit the wall straight head on, at an angle, sideways?

Are you accelerating or decelerating at instant of impact?

    Are you wearing a helment?

What is on the other side of the wall?

    Is it day or night?

How long will it take for the ambulance to get there?

If you don't die, will you expect Hillary Care to pay for your medical expenses?

  2. why don't you try and see what happen

  3. Hopefully the concrete holding the bricks together is not yet set when you hit that wall..........so there's still some "give" to it.

If you didn't plan to hit that wall, you would probably die.......if you tried to hit that wall, you would probably live........life is just like that........poor Humpty Dumpty, he only FELL......and all the King's horses and all the King's men couldn't put Humpty together again!

  4. Yes, most likely, you would. =(

  5. the cars the police use (the ford crown victorias) r safe up to 120mph combined head on collisions. a guy in my neighborhood was traveling 60 in his crown vic, when a drunk driver going 80 swerved into his lane and the drunk driver hit the guy i know and the drunk driver flew back 20ft (he was hurt pretty bad) but the guy in the crown vic slightly broke his knee. so 120 mph into another car in a crown vic and u will live

  6. no but you probally wish you did at that point

most 5star  crash rated test are 35 to 60 mph

    goodluck

  7. probably, but not the case for this guy I went to school with. He tried to commit suicide by driving his car through a brick and concrete wall into the cafateria at lunch time!! True story I swear..and the dumb*ss lived.

  8. If you hit the wall at 100mph then the impact would be 200mph and yes you would be dead.

  9. That's really fast (160km/h)! At the rate of 50 miles per hour or 80km/h, crashing is already quite severe, what more 100 miles per hour! Death rate? Increases even more! You may die but not so quickly...

  10. maybe not if you're driving a hummer

  11. not if your in a VW!

  12. Bricks are fairly light, and if there is only a single row of them, the wall would disintegrate very easily and probably not destroy a vehicle. As for loose bricks coming through a windscreen, that would depend on luck to some extent.

On  rallies, I've seen modified road-cars hit STONE walls at very high speed, and the driver and co-driver have survived OK.

Two years ago, I witnessed an accident where the driver of the crashed, stolen car, admitted in court that he was travelling at 80mph when he hit a massively built stone-wall. Some of the large stones went across a garden and destroyed a parked car in the drive of the house.

Although injured, both driver and passenger managed to get out of the vehicle, and both doors still opened. That suggests that modern vehicles are much stronger than they once were on impact.

So with a bit of luck, I would think that the chances of surviving a brick wall accident are probably quite high, even at 100mph.

It all depends on what you hit after the brick wall, I suppose.

If you find an earth-mover parked there, then it would be goodbye.

  13. depend on the type of car and your health

  14. What does it matter? If you do it you're brain dead already!

  15. depends on what your driving. I have a friend that did he is still alive has lots of scars. not sure if it was brick but a cement wall.

  16. 95% would die insantly the other 5% would hate their lives everyday afterwards.
