If you experienced bizarre experiences with the ouija board what happened?

When I was a kid, around 11 years old, some friends and I got ahold of a Ouija Board.  When it was my turn, I asked how old I'll be when I died.  The planchette stopped between the 5 and the 6.  Goofing around, a couple kids asked (knowing my age) if it meant 5 years old...it didn't move.  Then another kid asked if it meant 6 years old...it still didn't move.  Then I got kinda serious and added the two together and asked if it meant 11 years old...it still didn't move.  Finally, the last kid asked if it meant 56 years old, and I swear the little plastic piece flew off the board and stuck in the grass next to us.  We all ran off crying like we'd just seen a ghost.

I'm 28 now and I remember it like it was yesterday.

Just one.  Some friends were playing with the Ouija board and asking questions and getting all kinds of answers. They invited me to play too but as soon as I touched the planchette it wouldn't move.  No matter who else was touching it with me and no matter what we asked it wouldn't move.  Finally I said, "You don't like me, do you?"  The planchette went straight to NO and then shot off the side of the board onto the floor. That was enough for me.

The board and planchette are just cardboard and plastic.  Ouija boards truly are just a game that operates via something called the ideomotor effect.

Some people are very impressionable.  Some people are very superstitious.  Some people prefer a magical explanation of the world around them to an evidence- and reality-based version of the universe.

If you take anything away from your Ouija experience that's a personal issue, not a Ouija issue.

Please do not use the Ouija board without proper training, guidance and grounding. This is a window into another dimension and is open to usage by both human and inhuman spirits. Demonologist such as Lorriane Warren warn against the use of such tools without proper protection and knowledge. Once open, these windows are difficult to close and can lead to dangerous situations that you must be properly armed to cope with.

They are not games.  I know this all too well.  If someone tells you "its just a game", they are not truly aware of the consequences.

They are "portals" to the unknown.  This means, what ever comes out you don't know what it will be.  Good or evil.

If you don't know any info on these, then you shouldn't play with one.

there is nothing special about ouija boards.  whenever you play, there's always someone in the group who thinks it's funny to move the planchette
