  1. Nope, your grade on the exam shouldn't have any weight on your grade in the class,  You won't even get your grade on the AP exam until mid-July, long after your grade in the course has been calculated.  Hope that helps!

  2. No, the AP Test itself should have no impact on your grade. However, the teacher of that class does receive your grade.

  3. if you fail the AP test, it means you pretty much learned nothing. i took 5 APs, didnt study for any AP tests, and got at least a 4 on every one.

  4. It just means you don't get AP credits for that cost and can not count towards your post secondary education.

  5. Well, it depends. If you still get a decent grade in your AP class, you don't have to retake it in high school. But the definite problem is that you failed the AP test. Well, you don't have to retake the class or test in high school again. But if you want your college credit, you should retake the test at least (or class too, if your school requires it) or be prepared to grudgingly retake those classes in college.

In my opinion, if you're not graduated yet, you should retake the test to retrieve the college credit. A $70 test is better than wasting more money on a college class and you're already prepared from last year, so just study more and take it for a 2nd try.

    In layman's terms

High School Credit ---- Counted as long as you pass the AP CLASS

College Credit        ---- Test failed so you don't get it, but should retake
