If you fall into a tar pit, can you get out of it?

If a person falls into a tar pit, can the person get out? Like is there any way to get out of it?

probably a lot like quick sand the more you struggled the quicker you would sink.Also I've worked with tar it is so sticky and gooey once you are in you there for good so heavy and thick you would not be able to lift your arms or kick your feet

eeee, i think that will be hard for a person to get out of there, tar pit is an asphalt pit, meaning, there is an asphalt there. tar pits are usually used to trap animals and preserve their bones there. it will be hard for a person to get out, i don't know anything so that someone can get out of there. but i think he can get out if he has a rope and someone will pull the rope in order for him to get out of there. anyway, tar pits are rarely seen by many. tar pits are also filled with oil and other natural substances emerging from the earth. it will be better if you avoid that pit to avoid trouble as well.

try to search images of tar pit and you will see how hard it could be. (by the way, tar pits have different sizes of holes also)

If it is a cold day you can come out.

I will find edges on the wall and try to climb out from the edge.If there r no ways for me to climb out of the pit,I will use my handphone and call for help.
