As an owner of three, there usually is one in my bed. My babies snuggle with mommy and daddy a lot of times.

Start running around the house like mad

go get my dad and tell him to kill it

Scream again

Watch my dad put it out side (seeing that he wouldn't kill it)

scream if it was anywhere near me

then have to hear a lecture about how garden snakes are good

and probably not sleep, get anywhere near my bed, or even go upstairs for the next, oh I dunno, four years?

I'm a bit scared of snakes!

grab it and keep it to take pics and draw it name it then let it go unless it was already your pet then i would keep it
