Especially if the bankruptcy was against a home.

  1. as far as i know . not for like seven years unless you plan on paying cash


  2. I don't  think that's possible. You can't do too much of anything . Hopefully you don't win a lottery, it'll be taken away from you to repay the bills you had.

  3. No way, at least not for 7 years. I divorced and my ex stopped paying on his car which was in both our names. So I had a repossession on my record. It affected buying a house 6 years later. Bankruptcy is worse.

  4. Buying a home after a bankruptcy filing is going to depend on a couple of things. It's based on income, and if you can re-establish your credit after the bankruptcy filing. I've seen people buy homes within a few months of filing and some 3 years after the filing. It's going to depend on how you hand the finances from now on. Good Luck!
