If you focus in and feel cross-eyed does that mean your eyes will go bad in the future?

I heard that if you focus in on things with your eyes, they will go bad in the future_______im wondering if thats true!!!!!

  1. Um, no. What you are likely noticing is what is called "converging" it's normal. When you focus or read something up close (about 12-14 inches) your eyes will go in slightly to focus, and they go back to normal position to focus on things farther away.


  2. It could simply be a case of being tired. Sometimes people get a little cross eyed when they're tired but if you're getting a cross eyed feeling in general when you focus on things then you may already have an eye problem.
