Lack of employee cleanliness, and so on, would you continue to eat there? One of my favorite restaurants was in the newspaper for having been cited by the health department for all those things, and much more. There was dirty ice machines, a cross contamination between fish and cream cheese (they also serve bagels), baby roaches, and other problems as well. If you found this out about your favorite restaurant, would you continue to eat there? I've never had a problem with my food, and the place does look clean, but none of my friends want to go anymore....

  1. I personally wouldn't continue to eat there. Roaches alone are unsanitary but then the lack of cleaning and whatever else can cause quite serious problems..

  2. Ick! Of course I would stop eating there! If you found out that they had been putting p**p in most of the meals, would you keep eating there even though you hadn't gotten any p**p in your food? Didn't think so.

  3. You'd be shocked at what some of the kitchens at everyday places look like...The problems inevitable I try not to think about it and just enjoy the fod.

  4. Only if I had a death wish would i ever go back.

  5. Yuck! Heck no I would never eat there again!

  6. i would never eat there again! gross

  7. That's nasty.  Why would you even consider going back there to eat?  Imagine how they handle your food and what's been lurking in it.

  8. If you don't vomit or spend the day on the toilet following your meal you have either got a stomach like a sewer rat or it's a pack of lies!

  9. If you want to get sick then go right ahead and keep eating there.

  10. I have and I will! It's amazing what goes on behind the scenes even at very upscale restaraunts, especially in the cities. Vermin are just a way of life...you can make it look like you got rid of them, but you never really have. If you've never gotten sick or know anyone who has, just enjoy the food and try not to think about it.

You know, places do become more careful after getting hit up with fines, but they are also inspected more carefully. Even if they're cleaner than other places, they can be overly scrutinized and hit with fines again and again.

Also, just because a place has never been fined doesn't mean it's clean. Owners are friendly with inspectors or they pay bribes...it happens all the time.

  11. I would start drinking so that maybe you could forget

  12. Find a new place to eat.

  13. Absolutely not. I wouldn't want to eat there anymore. Find somewhere else. We take our 2 boys (18 mos and 5 yrs) with us when we eat and I wouldn't want to subject them to an environment like that.

  14. I wouldn't want to eat there until I heard the health department say that they cleaned the place up. Even then I would still be cautious

  15. No. That would make me lose my appetite, sorry.

It's really not that hard to comply with health regulations. Restaurants that don't bother are sending a message that they really don't care about their customers.

Most health departments act on citations and reinspect to ensure compliance. There's a chance the restaurant will change its ways, but you've got to wonder how they got so bad in the first place.

  16. h**l to the no.
