If you get a Basketball Scholarship to College Do You have to take Physiology?

My question is pretty straight forward, I have a friend who keeps telling me that all college students must take Physiology no matter the major they are taking, I wanted to know if this is true and if so wouldn't all NBA players from College have taken it too?

All requirements vary from college to college.  I certainly never had to take Physiology.
