  1. How is that even possible?

  2. no i don't think that would be a good idea

  3. I presume you mean both a stud and a captive bead ring, but not simultaneously.

Yes and no. The piercing hole for a stud is straight, where as the piercing hole for a CBR is curved. While the cartilage piercing is healing [which can take MONTHS!!!], you should not attempt to change from a straight stud to a CBR, because the hole will have to adjust to the new shape, and it hurts like HECK. Sleeping on it is especially challenging.

I had a CBR in my upper ear cartilage piercing for years, then took it out and the hole rested for another couple of years, then in May of this year I changed to a diamond stud in that hole and it is STILL trying to adjust to the new shape. This piercing is over 10 years old and still giving me a fit.

On the other hand, I switched easily from a stud to a CBR and back in my nostril cartilage piercing with a LOT less pain and struggle.

  4. Okay, I have my cartilage pierced & i just wear long earrings. If you're a guy i'd say only wear the stud or the ring not both at the same time. If you're a chick, let me tell you, it hurts to put both in at once. Doing that will stretch it out & that is not attractive. But there are earrings that look like a stud & a ring but they are one earring. That's best.

  5. Yer.. but not at the same time :) lol

  6. i think i get what ur saying

well it depends on how you get it pierced

it you get it done by a gun u have to wear a stud

but if you get it pierced professionally they usually put in a Captive Bead Ring (CBR)

once its healed you can put pretty much anything in but its harder to waer a ring if you got it pierced with a gun because the gauge size is so small so you would have to wear a hoop earring

go to a professional and get it done!

  7. I'm sure if you can get them both in there 'yes' but more than likely it will get irritated and could get infected.  If you decide to try it, use some rubbing alcohol on your ear for a few days and see how it reacts.
