If you get a package plan from most NHL teams do you have the option of picking where your seats are...?

Not like first or second level, but like between blue lines, or specifically not behind the nets?

The teams will tell you what is available about where you are looking to sit. Some of the seats are already sold. When you talk to the ticket rep inquire about an area and the will tell what is available and have you look at a seating chart or if you are there in person they will show you the seats. Always ask .

Season ticket holders always come first. You may get to select a spot where there are no occupied season ticket seats. Whatever is left I think you can choose.

Keep in mind that as Damien said, the season ticket holders get first dibs, and the league mandates that each team have at least 12,000 season ticket holders (several teams have a lot more).  So, you are simply getting the scraps.
