I got a warning on the interstate that I was breaking the speed limit. The officer let me go with a warning. Does that go on my permanent record? For how many years?

  1. What sucks is now the democrats have sold out to big brother so we're on our own totally unrepresented except a few scraggly libertarians.

It doesn't go on your record it's just an excuse to look you over and see if you might be a drug addled hippie. I can't go to Texas without getting a warning ticket I have 45 or so (I drive a new van with the lettering "free candy for little girls") No, I'm kidding about the van being new.

  2. Yes, but don't sweat it.  Homeland Security keeps a file on every one of us.  Every misdeed, fornication, major felony, jay walking, lie we told our bosses is cataloged.  Printed onto standard 8 1/2 by 11 paper, my dossier would make a stack 17 feet thick.  The case officer tells me he has seen worse, but those people are usually in jail.  Of course you might end up on the no fly list.

  3. no it will not go on your record

  4. no it will not go on your record, you also will not be listed on the dept of homeland security list or anything crazy.  Worst case is the same cop pulls you over again for speeding and remembers you.  Contrary to what the other answer says about getting ticket for a previous offense that is just a scare tactic used by the cop.  For anything to stay on your record you would have be proven guilty, when you pay a speeding ticket you are also admitting to the offense, even a speeding ticket can plead not guilty too and a court hearing can be requested, although no jury trial will be held unless the charge is at least a misdemeanor which speeding is not in most cases.

  5. i don't beleive there is a record kept of warnings.

  6. Depends, I got a warning in 1998 with a city cop and if I got pulled over again within a year in the city I would get that ticket and the new one.
