If you get arrested for trasspasing the train rails for about how long do you go to jail?

I would doubt the railroad would want to press charges. They would have to send a rep to court, and they are almost way, too busy to spare anyone. If you didn't steal anything, just walked onto RR property, then I think they would just fine you, at worse. Peace!

I believe it's sixteen years.  Twenty if you're a minor, or easily fooled.

it depends if you have a record or what you were doing there(ie. spray paint or hanging out) . It SHOULD be a misdemeanor but they can rope you with anything depending on the situation

New Jersey Law would put it at standard trespass... though Amtrak lines are covered as FEDERAL property.

that applies specifically to trespassing on railroad property.

Vandalism during trespass would be a FELONY.

Most of the time they will not take you jail for the first offense, but depending on the owner of the property.  Most likely you will not get in trouble for it.

by using the word train rails, I thinking guards.  Hey it is against the law.  I have not seen or heard of any body going to jail, but I have seen them die from it and I would say that you would get a big fat find.

In Singapore if you are caught on track for no reason, you can be jailed up to 3 weeks.

You cannot be trespassed until you have been told by the police or security of the area that you ARE trespassing. When you are, the legal types log it. The NEXT time you are caught, and there's proof you know you are breaking the law, you go downtown.
