  1. If you got your license suspended it was likely a court proceeding so there's little chance that you wouldn't know about it. submit the claim but prepare to be denied.

  2. It should be covered seeing that the insurance covers the vehicle - however expect to be dropped by your insurance coverage at their earliest convenience.

How does your insurance know that you have a suspended license?

  3. There are a multitude of ways your license can be suspended and you not know about it until you're stopped, as you know.

Simple answer is "yes", but prepare for the insurance company to drop you or raise your rates.

And of course if the accident was not your fault, the other company may argue "The accident wouldn't have happened if you were not there, and without a license you should not have been!"

The answer to that of course is "Regardless, your client hit me and caused damage and I need to be compensated for the damage."

  4. Your insurance company will more than likely cover the accident and then drop you like a hot potato, or raise your rates.  Depending on why your license is suspended in the first place, you may have to carry what is called "SR-22" in order to get your license back.  If you do, be prepared for your rates to go up and to carry it for more than likely a minimum of 3 years.

    Good Luck.

  5. It all depends on what your policy says.

If there was a misrepresentation made (not telling the insurance co about suspended license) some companys reserve the right to cancel the policy and therefore, no, the accident will not be covered.

Some policies may state they will cover the accident but they are going to charge you what you should have initially been paying for the suspended drivers rate.
