  1. It's possible...If she released an egg and had s*x 2 weeks after the first one was already fertilized...it's not usual, but it is possible....If she is a person that hyper-ovulates she needs to be really careful for higher level multiples!

  2. It is very possible and it is also possible for there to be two different fathers.  It may seem crazy, but it is possible.  Fraternal twins (not identical) are not conceived from the same egg.  When a woman has fraternal twins it is because she released two eggs and both of them were fertalized.  There is a chance that if she slept with two different men around the time she got pregnant, her babies may have two different fathers.  Tell her good luck!

  3. It is unlikely that they are actually weeks apart in age . . . it is more about how they are measuring.  One is measuring at the average of 10 weeks and the other is slightly smaller at 8 weeks.

My twins have been about 4 days apart in size throughout my pregnancy.  They are from IVF so I am positive that they were fertilized and implanted at the same time!

    Best wishes to your friend.

  4. possible but very very very unlikely, only that they might be developing at different rates, which I think is called twin to twin diffusion and causes one baby to suffer and/or die

  5. wow thats a new one on me

  6. If they are fraternal twins, it's possible that fertilization happened a little bit apart, but it wouldn't be weeks.  Probably one baby is just larger and more developed.

  7. Dont think that is possible unless one of them stopped growing.....

  8. i have heard of it i knew a women that was pregnant with twins and one was due the end of march and the other the beginning of april, but they took them at the same time via c-section....it's only b/c the eggs weren't fertilized at the same time!

  9. I guess if she ovulated twice at seperate times, and both eggs were fertilized, and implanted... unlikely, but I suppose it is possible, I know a lady that ovulates twice a month...

  10. No way.  When you ovulate you drop an egg, maybe two, but it does not stick around for a week and a half waiting for sperm to come by.

If the times she is giving you are from the ultrasound, and the babies are different sizes, that will lead to different age estimates, but they are just growing differently.

  11. That just means where they are measuring at. I haven't heard of a person actually getting pregnant twice and having twins, because you only ovulate once. One is just measuring smaller than the other.

  12. Look at number 16.
