  1. Hmm...well thats bold and a bit outside of tradition....something valuable.

  2. you give him your heart and all your love.and anything that shows you really mean what your asking....

    a ring is appropriate,and romantic...

  3. Nothing. But a carnation would be a nice touch since it is the flower of love.

  4. A kiss is all I ask.

  5. If it was me...I would give him something he could use and he would take the meaning as a heartfelt true proposal seeing as you made sure to give him something that means something to him and wish to be his spouse. Just giving him anything that just comes to mind may be taken as...you only wish to be his spouse but don't really care of his likes or wants.Going the extra mile would be a meaning of how serious you really are about marriage and love.

  6. Don't waste your money.  Men don't need engagement or wedding rings.

  7. Traditonally, what do women really have to give besides s*x/children/cooking(sometimes).

  8. I guess it depends on whether you think he'd be keen on wearing a diamond or not =D

If you don't feel comfortable giving him a ring, you could always just ask without one. You're already breaking tradition being the one who's asking, so why worry so much about the traditional engagement ring? Even some of the women I know didn't get rings right when their husbands/fiancees proposed to them. On the other hand, if you wanted to get him a nice gold band, and you don't think he'd feel emasculated wearing it, you could just do that.

  9. Oooh ask this in the weddings section. A lot of women are buying men's engagement rings now (or watches, necklaces, etc).

  10. a perfectly prepared pot roast... with mashed potatoes.
