if businesses give their employees random drug test and a test upon being hired. does that lower workman comp rates?

I doubt there is a specific credit for Work Comp specifically for drug testing.  However, companies do have what we call "Scheduled credits" which they can out on an account (generally speaking up to 20%).  These are completely subjective and are in no way guaranteed.  Do you have a lot of claims?  Do you have no claims?  These would be much more important questions a company will ask themselves before they even consider giving a credit.  After the claims question, they will look at the rest of the account as a whole, this is where the drug testing will be very helpful.

    I would recommend talking to your agent, they can give you a heads up on what to do in this situation.  Also, if you are not a big account ($20,000 or more in premium per year), getting a scheduled credit is going to be very difficult.
