  1. Noone cuts your fingers, thats for sure ;)

    At least in modern casinos

  2. Card counting just does not provide the edge it once did in Las Vegas casinos. WIth multiple decks, even when shuffled and dealt from a shoe, the dealer will cut deep to keep many cards out of the game, reducing the effectiveness of counting.

And they have added continuous shufflers in many casinos, where there cannot possibly be any advantage to card counting.

And the casinos are changing the rules. For example, the dealer at many games now hits soft 17, a disadvantage to the player.

I found a couple single deck hand held games in Vegas, but get this!  Blackjack only paid 6-5 instead of 3-2. ( and they hit soft 17 too) Counting was easy, and I did run into some sweet decks when I played with only a couple other players, but the house advantage was hard to beat.

Vegas welcomes counters these days, since most counters cannot do it very well, and the rules are still in their favor. If they were not, they would change more rules!

And no one is going to cut off anything from your body! The worst thing that may happen is you will be asked to leave the table. Expecially if you try to just watch the game, then try to take a mid shoe seat when there is a favorable count!

A better way to try to beat Blackjack is a system called the Blackjack Betting Trigger, which does NOT involve counting cards. Here is some information on it:

Good luck and have fun at the tables.

  3. No, they don't send someone to jump you or cut your fingers off. Bugsy isn't running any casinos anymore. That's illegal.  It's also not illegal to count cards. However, whether you're winning or losing, the casino has the right to put you out if you'e counting cards. It is, after all, private property.  They will either ask you to leave the table or the casino altogether. They will also probably have surveillance take a picture of you and post it in all the pits, as well as share it with the other casinos in the area, with the info that you are a card-counter.

  4. techincally they cant kick you out of the casino cause counting cards is not illeagle so long as your doing it in your head and not using a cheating device like something to help u keep track of the count, the worst they can actually do is ask you to keep your bet the same or tell you that they dont want you playing black jack anymore, supposdly they arent supposed to be able to kick you out of the casino

  5. Basic strategy is the best idea otherwise, but the house still maintains a .5% advantage in that case. Other strategy systems generally give even more of an advantage to the house. Most casinos don't mind people with their own systems, since they still have an advantage.

Generally, you can make money through blackjack with proper betting and strategy. However, you can also lose money.

  6. typically they appraoch you and say:

"listen x*x, your too good for us and we dont want you playing here anymore, im sure you know what we mean"

sometimes, they will simply instruct a new dealer to increase the amount of cards they cut off, to see if they can keep you playing.

sometimes they limit your max bet

they will not cut off your fingers.

  7. If you're counting alone, they probably won't do anything because at best you get a 1-2% edge on the house.  IF they do anything, they'll ask you to leave.  Vegas isn't really run by the mob anymore.
