Question:

If you go to an Indian casino would the type of soda they serve or other factors determine if you go there?

If you were planning on going to an Indian Casino for gambling, dinner, etc, that has free soda fountains (RC Cola, 7Up, etc) placed throughout the casino would you purposely not go there because they did not have the big name brand of Coca Cola or Pepsi? The next nearest casino is an hour away. Does the soda really matter that much?

  1. I don't think it would matter that much.  Sometimes Pepsi will give you a much better deal than Coca Cola products.  In my area coca cola products are much more expensive for restaurants and their contracts and services are not as good.  But I have opened restaurants with Pepsi products and customers would repeatedly ask for say Dr.Pepper and so I changed.  One area constantly asked for Big Red? go figure, so then you have to go for what the customers ask for. But my experience is with restaurants, I don't think it would matter as much for casinos.

  2. Doesn't matter to me. I like some non brand name soda's better anyway. I rarely buy name brand in the store because it's so much more expensive. Sounds like a good deal that they have free sodas in the first place. The Indian casino that I worked at didn't.

  3. I have been to casinos (Indian and not) that have those soda machines all around (saves them on hiring cocktail waitresses for the soft drinks). Not only was that not a factor in selecting them but I can not recollect what brand of soda they were offering.

If the soda brand matters that much to you, then you should be going to Chuckey-Cheese rather than a casino.
