  1. yes because they could think u robbed it and ur trying to go to america so u needd a passport because taht has a pcture but maybe they will if it has a picture on the id and it doesnt really effect u if youir a minor

  2. In order to re-enter the US, you need either a passport *or* a government issued ID and a certified copy of your birth certificate.  This applies if you are traveling by land (driving across the border) or sea (like on a cruiseship).

If you fly you MUST have passport.  No exceptions.  The ID and birth certificate will not work any longer.  These laws apply to everyone, including minors.

See the official US Gov't website:

    http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbp...

Personally I would go ahead and get the passport as you are eventually going to need it anyway.

  3. As of January 2007 you must have a passport book or card.

If you are going to Mexico by air then you have to have a "passport book." If you are going by land then you will need at least a passport card.  If you are under 16 then both of your parents must sign a form at the location that you apply for your passport, unless one parent has sole custody then they will need the court docs to prove that they have sole custody.

The passport card cannot be used for air travel.

The passport book can be used for both.

The Card is  ~$60 where the book is ~$100 without expedite fees. (fast service)

  4. TO GO TO MEXICO YOU NEED A PASSPORT, IS A FOREING COUNTRY, AND AS JANUARY 1, 2008 YOU NEED A PASSPORT USA TO GET BACK IN. IVE BEEN THERE.

  5. You absoluetly MUst have a passport to travel between the U.S. and Mexico if you FLY.  You do NOT need a passport to travel by LAND.  That requirement has not been implemented yet and has no set date...will probably be summer of 2009.  Right now you need a photo I,D. and a proof of citizenship...which can be either a passport OR a birth certificate.  See site below and read carefully.

  6. I don't think you could get back.

  7. I think to fly you have to have a passport. But if you dont have one, come back across on land. They want you to have your DL and your B/C but...if you speak good American English they will let you in right now with just your DL and they will tell you to get your B/C or a passport. I know a shuttle driver who takes Americans across daily and I asked him the other day about this and he said they are still letting them back in with just their DL although as of Jan 31 you're supposed to also have your B/C or a passport.
