If I'm awake, and the engine's still running, I get the car off the road if it's not already off the road.

If a car hit me, the next thing I would do is make a mental note of the car registration.

The reason I do this us because if they do not admit blame, then they will make any excuse and try and pass blame on you.

In a bump that I had, someone hit the back end of us after stopping on a traffic lights.

People were waiting to cross.

Had time to put into neutral and apply handbreak, then BANG!!!

Their response was we shouldn't have stopped on an amber light.

They would no give us info and they drove off.

One question at first is is anyone hurt. If it is the other party arrange for an ambulance if it is you get someone else to do it. Most of us have mobiles these days. Unless your injury prevents it get out of the car or if there is a risk of fire.  If you feel you do not want to get out stay put. Forget the if youi move you do not get compo. Whiplash can be noticed hours or days after an accident

if i'd been hit i'd stay in the car and get someone to phone me an ambulace cos i would have injured my back or have whiplash and be needed to be taken to hospital u have to stay in the car or u wont get compo hahahaha

First, see if the person that hit me was a senior citizen, because it would not be my fault. If it IS a senior citizen, the first thing I would to is Taser them, because they will try to drive away. Then, make sure there are witnesses, because the senior citizens will always lie about how it happened, especially if they can claim the gas pedal stuck.
