  1. Unless you are getting a specialized bachelors degree to become a nurse, nurse anthestist, another career in the health professions, engineer, or management there is really no need to get a second degree at the bachelor level. You can go back but the issue is if you can get the financing for it. Some lending programs will only finance one bachelor degree. I would balance the need to get a second bachelor degree versus a graduate degree.

  2. Yes. You can get two bachelors.

You can also go to grad school, get an M.A, and repeat! I did! I have two M.A.s seven years apart in the same subject area!

  3. You can go back and get another if you like, or twelve.  You can also get two bachelor's at the same time.  It's called a "double major".    The only thing you can't do is have two minors for the same bachelor's.

  4. Getting a second bachelor's is easy - just do the major course requirements in the new major and any new general eds.  There are "second degree rules" at every college that you need to be aware of.

Getting a third (or more) bachelor's becomes tricky because of the multiple degree rules most colleges have in place.  Three bachelor's will be max in most cases and that's difficult to justify to most schools.

The same multiple degree rules don't apply to graduate degrees because graduate credit usually won't transfer between majors.  You may be able to use a few courses between master's degrees but it isn't like the bachelor's where you can often use 3/4 or more of your old credit in the new degree.

A double major isn't the same as dual degrees.  In a double major you get one degree with both majors listed.  In a dual degree you get two diplomas.  The rules for each are very different.  My BSc has two minors as does my wife's - it all depends on the rules at the specific college.

There are plenty of good reasons to get a second bachelor's degree and while funding can be a challenge for multiple degrees, everyone doesn't need funding to go to college.  As long as you can pay for it and can do the work, most colleges will give you a lot of freedom in what you can do.
