If you grafted a scion bud into the rootstock of a rough lemon tree, what would be the outcome?

I read about this in a book and i just wanted to see if it was possible, if it was telling the truth.

  1. If the graft takes then you would have a new tree growing with a lemon root. What's the scion?

    Garden roses whether floribundas, climbers, etc., are all grafted onto brier roots. This is how one of the originals looks:

    whereas a grafted one can bloom looking like any of these:

    http://www.ars.org/

    This is how farmers cultivate orchards of fruits. The various types are grafted onto hearty rootstocks.
