It could be in something with some risk involved as long as the expected return is good.

  1. I'd put it in the CGM Focus fund, CGMFX.

This fund has a good long-term record.

(I have no financial ties with this company, nor do I actually own these shares.)

  2. $10K silver bullion or etf

    $10K agricultural commodities etf

    $10K clean water etf

    $10K alternative energy etf

    $10K BRIC etf

  3. I am in the same boat as you.  I have most of it in a mutual fund, but I am thinking of opening a few CD's.  Do you have any property?  I have one property which i rent out and some land purchases.  However, I think that is something I am saving for a long term goal.  If you can, I would try and buy at least one peice of additional property.

  4. I am looking at starting a new mens clothing brand with a new gap in the market. We are hoping for around £50k investment and are aiming to open a website and open three shops in year one with a turnover of around 100k and then 240k in year two.

  5. Goldcorp. It's one of the largest gold mining companies in the world, and it just went through an unrealistically large correction. It is so cheap right now I'm even digging into margin to get some stocks.

Currently it is a good buy based on value, on gold price projections, and on performance. I see it as a good short term/mid term and long term investment. Of course when it comes to investments, always DYODD (do your own due diligence)

    Happy trading.

  6. Bank of America (BAC) cant beat that 8.5% dividend yield.

  7. I would look at some of the Dow stocks that are near multiyear lows.  Some financials I expect to double if you can wait 2-3 years.  Companies like GE, MMM, BAC are worth a look.
