  1. I'm sure my wife wouldn't let me name one of our children Stanley. The best she'd let me do is go down the roster of my favorite team listing their names until she finds one she likes.

I know this because I insisted on naming our twin boys after writers. I had to go through a million writers before she settled on London and Emerson. I wanted Hemingway and Wilde, but those are the breaks! lol.

  2. With that logic does it mean if I eat at Bojangles the day my kid is born do I name them Mr. or Ms. Bojangles?

  3. I named my son Calder because Malkin won the trophy (and Crosby got robbed last year). So yes I's name him Stanley. I may actually change Calder's name after the Pens win.

BTW My daughter, Steeley MvBeem, was born on the day the Steelers won.

  4. Not a big fan of the name Stanley so I would not. I personally would never name my child after a celebrity intentionally at least but I know allot of people who have. I see nothing wrong with it it's their choice.

  5. My gold digging bag of dirt ex- and I had a cat named Stanley.

  6. Well my grandson is named Steve.......

  7. No, but since my team is the Wings, I may name him Nik (for Lidstrom (or Nikki if she arrives that day)

  8. No, that would be stupid. The poor kid has to deal with that name for the rest of their life. Poor parenting, if you ask me.

  9. If it was a girl it could be stanlietta LOL or stanlita

  10. How about I would name him "Lord" instead. That has a nice ring to it.Not a fan of the name Stanley. If its a girl then the name "Lady" for Lady Byng. That would great if they were twins.Meeting someone for the first time and introducing your kids to them.."Haley,these are my kids Lady and Lord...Vezina must still be in the car".

  11. Not sure what we would name it,  but I know that My wife would insist on having the game on in the hospital and if anyone got in her way...they probably would be holding a funeral.

I love watching my wife watching hockey!!!

  12. I don't think I'd have any naming rights after missing the birth to watch my team win the cup ;-)

  13. NO. I have other names in mind for my future kids

  14. LoL, No i'll name him Champion(If its a boy). If its a girl, Beautiful< Just like the cup

  15. I would be so ticked!  Labour and childbirth aren't that compatible with watching a hockey game properly!

Not Stanley.... maybe Johan, Henrik, Pavel, Niklas, or something like that - depending on who scores the goals?

Thankfully I'm done with all that, so can't inflict that sort of cruelty on a child of mine, lol!

  16. If a boy I would probably name him Guy (for Lafleur) or Maurice (for Richard) .. or maybe Richard and teach people that it's pronounced Ree-shar .. and the Verizon commercial would be really appropriate. I'd point my finger at the other babies whose parents rooted for our opponent and say to them "Loser! Loser!" and then to my kid "You own this nursery!"

  17. id only name it stanley if it was a girl.  just so she got made fun of her whole life. what??
