If you had a choice between ...?

winning your life or use it for a certain cause like [ cancer / people in needs etc ], what would you choose ? AND why ? :D

What do you mean by "winning your life"?   I always try to help good causes any way that I can! It is the only way to better the world that we live in, for our children!

I don't have a whole helluva lot of money, and twice a year I do fund raising for the American Cancer Society through the Notes to Neighbors campaign, along with contributing myself.  I also give to paralyzed Vets, Humane Society of the United States, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, ASPCA, St Judes Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald's Houses.... <takin a breath>

I give all that I can already, and as I said, I don't have much.  I know I could do lots more if I could just win the d**n lottery!!

I haven't heard the term "winning your life"... but anyway...

I'm lucky in that I've done fairly well for myself at a really young age. I have a nice home, a great boyfriend, a reliable car, good friends and family and good health. I've lived and travelled abroad and across my own country. Etc etc. I consider myself to be successful. So if that means "winning life" I suppose I have.

BUT. I have been a volunteer since I was 14, and always have more than one volunteer job or project on the go at any give time. I donate to numerous organizations, both monetarily and with my time. My bf and I are currently looking into sponsoring a child in Africa. I've spent months volunteering full-time overseas and would do it again in a heartbeat.

I don't think that it has to be one or the other. You aren't "losing" by volunteering or giving to a certain cause. To me, that's something that makes my life even better. I'm not living for the money and "stuff," I'm actually doing good with my time and money.
