If you had a greek god for a parent who would it be and why

Hmm. I can't think of any happily married couples. That's who I'd want for parents!

Our daughter's middle name is Athena. She's the goddess of wisdom, weaving (domestic skills are useful) and war (don't need wussy children.) We figured that covered most bases :)

I think Hera was a motherly type, but there don't seem to be any good fathers in the Greek pantheon.

Athena, her gift of wisdom would be bestowed on me granting me intelligence and possibly saving me from making mistakes. As for a father . . . . I think I would settle with a human mortal. The reason why  . . . well if you observe all the male Gods somewhere along the line they have done some really cruel, stupid things that are very complex. A human would commit the same crimes but there issues would be much simplier and less of a hassle to handle. Also, the fact that to err is human is to be expected so nothing that the human does would be out of the ordinary.

it depends. if i was to compare my parent to greek gods, mum would probably be Demeter or Hestia (she loves the garden and her home) and my dad would be zeus (he even looks a bit like him- tall and lots of white hair :P) but if i could choose greek god parents i think id want to be Hades and Hecates secret love child (:P) but be raised by Artemis in the forest :D

Athena ;) why? Because wisdom rules! And Narcissus is a mortal not a god. And venus and neptune are roman! And no killing your parent does not mean you neccicarily take thieir place.
