Hypothetic (not instance related):

1 there are guys that had computer crash early in electronic transfer utility, because of intentional or ignorant. unsanctioned password use, or (unawares) infiltration of business

2 some thought a transfer and the records showed either something was upstaged or later a supposed decision.

3 ownership was pre-empted.

4 my take is that one cannot lose the purchase, and an intent to keep an original offer, .com, or personal preference in an original new communications medium property or researched purchase is not refutable, if one did not sell, but lost because of a work tool crash or could not hold, because of employee or nuisance.

5) "4" should not be difficult to show, not only because private records show in D.O.S. and Apple electronic medium, but duration to present of tributaries and track.

  1. I think even though there was a system crash, that it's at the seller's discretion whether to honor the purchase or not.  It's not the seller's fault that the system crashes unless explicitly stated that they'd take ownership of that.

Some sellers honor transactions if you have proof of trying to buy something.  Like I tried to book a hotel room, got a price and got almost all the way through it, but it didn't go through.  I called them up and they accepted it.

I tried a different time to buy something on ebay and due to system glitch, I missed the deadline.  I'm SOL there.

I tried to buy a seaon pass and it wouldn't go through, but the merchant didn't honor it because you couldn't get to the confirm page (to show proof) even though you selected it and put in all the info.  (They suck).

Many sellers have disclaimers about system problems, etc, but I think many will still honor sales if you can show proof.

    Those are my thoughts.
