If you had a terminal illness and only have a limit amount of time to live....?

would you tell your love ones about your illness? Why or why not? Please explain with details if you can. Thanks.

  1. Yes, absolutely.  They have a right to know that our time is really limited.  It would kill my mom and brothers but then we could really enjoy out last days together.


  2. I have friends who have terminal illnesses. They have all told their families, mostly because where else would you get the support you need for this shattering news??

    Most of them didn't have to tell their closest loved ones, because that person was with them during the tests and all doctors appointments, BECAUSE they loved them!!!

    Yes, I have a terminal illness. If my husband chooses to let me be that is his prerogative! I wouldn't change how he treats me. My problem is how to tell my children! I have told them the names of the illnesses and I do suppose they have gone on line to check out the facts in the many many websites available. But they have asked no questions yet. I suppose they will wait til I am really bad before demanding some answers from me.

    Even my doctor cannot tell exactly how long I may have because I choose to fight this with all I have and can glean from websites.
