  1. Hi Since I already have Geothermal. I would go for solar and wind. Nuclear is still not safe enough for me.

  2. In New Mexico, my dream home would use solar panels, solar hot water, and wind all tied in to the grid so I would get paid for excess electricity. And a grey-water recyling system. Alas, I rent and I'm poor.

  3. Well, in Wisconsin and Minnesota, where I have real estate.  I have and will use ICF for home construction with geothermal heating.

I would love to be able to obtain a dry cask storage for multiple dwelling heating:    Re-bar concrete vault 4.5 - 6 m below grade.  Install dry cask with circulating water heat exchanger on exterior of cask.  Move heat to insulated storage tanks nearer dwelling.  Heat pump energy into dwelling HVAC circuit.

Casks will give off about 30° F over ambient temperature.  At 4.5 m below grade ambient is about 54°F  So you would be placing almost 80 degrees into a units heat sink.

For transport,  I would like to see development of the Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) Cars --- the economics is there [Extant LN2 distribution system in USA],  Air motors used in for drilling and other work are very efficient and the MDI car model could be adapted.   But the Dept of Energy and the media are very quiet about this form of energy.  See U of North Texas and U of WA about their working mottos.

We will never run out of N2 and we could clean the air in cities by distilling air locally

  4. Solar and Wind Energy. In fact, I already use them.

  5. NPR (National Public Radio) did a piece about a home unit wind mill that is being introduced by a French firm.  The windmill goes up on a pole and can produce 20%-80% of the energy needed to power a home based on the wind power available.  You can supplement with electricity and this will cost about $650 to install.  Very low maintenance and it would provide a back up.  The wind is free and wow if you live in an area that has winds this sounds like a wise investment.

  6. Solar and wind. http://www.earth4energy.info will teach you how to use these renewable energy sources.
