If you had salmon-colored carpet, what color would you paint your walls?

We're moving into a place with salmon-colored carpet and we want to repaint the walls. It's got a ton of natural light, so we want to pick a light hue to make it really open and bright. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thats the color of our carpet in our living room and we just repainted the house. We painted it a pinkish tan color and it looks great, but if thats too close to the carpet color you can go with a offwhite/tan/yellow.

I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. I think "aesthetic white" (# 7035) would be a great color choice.

a pale warm gray, a color combo used a lot in the 1920s Art Deco style, was salmon and gray

or a light minty green would be very 50's

stay away from yellow!

A light tan with just a hint of pink to salmon would look nice.  

If the sun shines directly into any room, stay away from yellow because yellow fades quickly in the sun.

Any yellow color would be great...really brightens any room up.  Be sure that whatever color you decide on...go 2-3 shades lighter as yellow paints go are much more yellow when applied to walls, especially when sunlight hits it.
