  1. No... It's too dangerous, and I am a wuss.

  2. Yea. That would be so cool.

  3. For sure! I would love to i think that it would be an amazing expirience!!! I would also love to climb many other mountains as well!!

  4. It's one of my desk top pictures.  I think I'll pass on this one.  Sure is pretty though.

  5. hypothetically: I would if needed, I just never see that need arising, and no, I'd never do it for recreation.... even hypothetically.

  6. Don't like heights, i get vertigo on thick pile carpet!

  7. Hi! It's nice to see you!

    Oh, h**l-no!

    That mountain kills SKILLED climbers!

I am not in the physical shape- nor was I EVER-

(I used to be a world-class gymnast.. not even then!)

in the kind of shape needed to climb that mother

    of a mountain!

It' COLD! I am not a huge fan of extemes in

    temperature, either way!

I admire the people who DO climb it...

I admire the people who try! Succeed or not.

    The world needs crazy people.

Sir Edmund Hillary, when asked WHY he climbed Everest, said,

    "Because it is there."

Now... what kind of explanation is that?

I pass. God speed to all who want to do that.  }:>

  8. I'd love to try, even if I didn't make it, or it was too cold.

  9. No, I do not think I would take the chance.  It would be too dangerous, and it would endanger a lot of others.  It would be too expensive as well.  Many other challenging mountains are available to climb, for people interested in this sort of activity.

I keep thinking about the ill-fated expeditions I have heard about and read about.  Quite a few people seem to get killed or  injured during these attempts.  Furthermore, the lives of many sherpa guides are lost, and the role and presence of the sherpas is hardly acknowledged.

It seems like an exercise in self-indulgence, at least most of the time, and is not worth the losses.  It is questionable to some extent whether Mount Everest is really the highest mountain in the world.

  10. (Heck) no!  I've been smoking too many years!!!  I'd lose my breath while still at the bottom.........

  11. No I would not. It's nice to look at, but to climb, no. I don't like high places, and I don't think I'm that athletic enough to do it.

  12. No, Too Cold For Me...!!

  13. My nephew did it for charity last year, he loved it.  he is in Afghanistan at the moment with the Navy training the Afghan police, he loves any danger unfortunately!
